My Baby's in the NICU: Now What? was written to calm, comfort, inform, reassure and encourage families and parents facing the difficult life challenge--the admission of a newborn to the NICU. This eBook (currently in production) was developed by two former NICU parents as the resource we wanted, but couldn't find to support our family, when faced the sudden, unexpected Neontatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) admission of our youngest daughter. This downloadable eBook is a colorful, beneficial, affordable resource created to reassure, encourage and support the Parents and their Families who hold the littlest hands of the nearly 400,000 newborn babies admitted each year to intensive care nurseries or neonatal intensive care units.
Written By Former NICU Parents - Kirsti A. Dyer MD, MS, FT and Cole D. Thompson - The ebook was created in response to our own family's need at the time for more information. We discovered much later, after our experience, that there are many other NICU parents who have the same need--for more information about the NICU as well as support to make it through the challenging experience.
